Baba Rahman extends his Benevolence to RTU

Black stars defender, who is currently on loan at championship side Reading from English giants Chelsea, Baba Abdul Rahman, has presented some sets of sports equipments to Ghana premier league returnees, Real Tamale United (RTU).


The Ghana international, who pledge to offer support to RTU, if they qualify back to the top flight of Ghana football walked the talk on 1st September, 2021 at the clubs training grounds in Tamale.

Baba Abdul  Rahman donated 50 balls, 50 cones, 50 bibs and 48 markers to Real Tamale United as they prepare to kick start the new GPL season.


The donation was done on behalf of the defender by his elder brother, Alhaji Sulemana Baba and N/R football association chairman, Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo.


Alhaji Rhyzo, commended Baba Rahman profusely for his kindness and benevolence since he became a professional footballer. He urged the player not to relent on his efforts to ensure football development in the region.

Alhaji Sulemana Baba who doubles as the elder brother of Baba said, it has always been the interest of Baba Rahman to see the progress of RTU, which is the only traditional club within the region. He further expressed hope that the sporting equipments donated will help the club as they prepare ahead of the league season.


Receiving the equipments on behalf of the club and the playing body, head coach, Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko promised that the donation will definitely serve it purpose.


Meanwhile, RTU has resumed training ahead of the crucial 2021/22 GPL season.
