Deputy energy minister launches ‘Anta Skills and Development Program’ in Karaga
The NPP Parliamentary candidate for Karaga Constituency who doubles as the deputy energy minister in charge of oil and gas Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam Anta has launched the ‘Anta Skills and Development Program’ in the Karaga constituency.
The program is aimed at helping skilled workers in the constituency with training equipments to aid them in their skilled work.
At the launch, Dr. Amin Anta presented 30 sewing machines and 20 head dryers to tailors and head dressers Associations in the constituency. This is in fulfillment of his pledge to pay apprenticeship fee and provide sewing machines to head dressers who passes out in any of this skilled work in the area.
The launching ceremony which took place at Karaga Town Park brought together some MMDCEs, regional campaign team members of the New Patriotic Party and party faithful to grace the occasion.
Addressing the gathering in Karaga Dr. Amin Anta said the initiative he took stem from request of the people that they needed jobs badly, adding that there will be more opportunities to come if he is voted as Member of Parliament for Karaga constituency come December 7. He also promised to give 100 sewing machines and 300 hair dryers next year.
Chairman of the Tailors Association in the Karaga constituency Salifu Ziblim who received the items on behalf of the association was thankful to Dr. Amin Anta for the support.
