Dr. Bawumia Commissions an Ultra Modern District Hospital in Tolon
Vice president of Ghana Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia jointly commissioned Tolon district hospital on Monday 23/11/2020, following its construction which began 3 years ago.
The ultra modern district hospital has several departments, such as outpatient and emergency department, inpatient for male and female, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology including intensive care unit.
Before the commissioning, a durbar of chiefs and people of Tolon traditional area was organized at the school park of Tolon senior high school, and was attended by Paramount chief of Tolon traditional area major (rtd) Abubakari Sulemana and his sub chiefs.
Speaking at the durbar, Vice president Bawumia revealed that the Tolon district hospital is one of 6 hospitals which construction began 3 years ago, contrary to claims by opposition NDC that the government constructed none.
He further boasted that the Akuffo Addo led administration has since assumption of power, recruited over 92,000 health personnel and therefore urge electorates to vote massively for NPP and its Parliamentary candidate in the constituency to consolidate the gains made in the last 3 years.
Minister for health Kweku Agyemang Manu on his part said, over 300 ambulances and 600 beds have been distributed across the country.
Chief of Tali, who spoke on behalf of the Paramount chief, express gratitude to the NPP government for the numerous developmental projects carried out in the constituency.
The chief also appeal to the vice president to ensure construction of Tolon town roads, as it is currently in a dilapidated state.
Alhaji Habib Iddriss, also appeal to chiefs and people of Tolon to give him their endorsement to represent them in the next Parliament for massive development across the constituency.
