MP for Savelugu connect Botingli community to the national grid
There was joy on the faces of residents of Botingli in the Savelugu constituency, when the community was finally connected to the national grid.
Lack of Electricity in most of the rural communities over the years has been a major challenge. However, as part of fulfilling campaign promises to the constituents, Member of Parliament for Savelugu Constituency Abdul Somed Gunu on Monday 5th October 2020 connected Botingli community to the National Grid.
Botingli is a farming community in the Savelugu constituency.
The Member of Parliament jointly commissioned the electricity project with MCE for Savelugu, Ayishetu Seidu. According the lawmaker, the electricity project commissioned forms part of government Rural Electrification Program, aimed at achieving universal access to electricity by all rural communities in not too long distant future.
Addressing the gathering at Botingli both the MP and MCE disclosed that, the governing New Patriotic Party will bring development to the people of the area if they retain the current government in power by voting Akufo Addo and the NPP for four more years.
MCE for the Savelugu also urged them to vote massively for the Member of Parliament and Nana Akufo Addo come December 7 to continue their good works.
Speaking on behalf of the residents, the Assembly member for Botingli electoral area Ziblim Shahadu thanked the Member of Parliament for his efforts and influence in bringing electricity to the community.
