NPP MP aspirant for Tamale Central Constituency files for nomination

Parliamentary candidate for the ruling New P atriotic Party (NPP) in the Tamale Central constituency, Dr. Ibrahim Anyars, has today Friday, 9th October 2020, successfully filed his nomination forms at the office of the electoral commission in Vitting, to officially contest the 2020 parliamentary elections.


Tamale Mayor, constituency executives and party sympathizers, accompanied Dr. Anyars en route to the filling of his nomination, amid singing and dancing to party songs.


Dr. Anyars, who double as the CEO of government's flagship Nation Builders corps, in briefing the media said, the heavy downpour which hit Tamale on Friday morning, the same day he filed his nomination forms, is a clear signal that victory shall be his come 7th December 2020.

He noted that, throughout his political career, decent language and humility has been his hallmark, a feat he admonished his supporters to follow suit.


Dr. Anyars indicated that, the electorates in the Tamale Central constituency, are fully aware of the suffering and sacrifices he has made and still making to fix the plight of many, hence the need to grant him the opportunity to become their representative in Ghana's Parliament.

The NABCo boss however took a swipe at his main competitor for the NDC, for running for cover at an urban area such as Tamale central constituency, after being rejected by rural folks in the Nanton constituency. He further snub his competitor, for engaging in outmoded campaign strategies, something he said, does not inform the decision of electorates anymore in the constituency.


The Tamale Central seat will be keenly contested by the NPP and NDC after incumbent MP, Inusah Fuseini opted not to go for re- election.
