Pastor’s car stolen by armed robbers at his private residence in Kanvili-Tunayili

A gray Toyota Prado Platinum with Registration Number GT 4956 – 20 belonging to the Head Pastor of Gumani Good News Bible Church popularly known as 'Azindo Church' Reverend Eric Kwaku Prah has been reportedly stolen at his private residence in Kanvili-Tunnaayili a suburb of Tamale in the Northern Region.

Information gathered by saganitvonline.com indicates that, the alleged robbers made away with the 2020 registered Toyota Prado Platinum on Thursday night May 6, 2021 at exactly 9:30pm

The 3 masked armed robbers first sneaked their way into the house of the head pastor and held him and his family at gunpoint. They then tired him and his children with wire and made away with GH¢3,000, the car and other valuable properties and bolted off, leaving the family in shock.

In recent times, the most common methods of motor vehicle theft amongst carjackers and joy-riders are to steal the keys or break into the car, though it's still unclear how the robber(s) managed to unlock the doors of the car and bolted away with it.

It will be recalled that a registered Nissan pickup with NR 9902-19 which belongs to the Northern Regional Director of NaBCo, together with his mobile phones were reportedly pilfered by some unidentified gunmen in the same community (Kanvili-Tunnaayili) in 2019.

Some residents of the area said, they are now living in fear since the community is gradually becoming a target for robbers following Thursday night robbery.

A 43 year old teacher who only gave her name as 'hajia' said: "My fear is that, you cannot tell if you are the next victim. This community use to be one of the quite areas to live in, but I now fear for my life".  she said

Meanwhile, Reverend Eric Kwaku Prah is appealing to anyone who picks information on the car to immediately report to the nearest police station or call the following numbers:

024 344 2027 / 0244 721 991 / 054 621 3802
