TaMFA kickstarts 'Wakaso Annual Challenge Cup' competition

Wakaso Annual challenge Cup, a competition under the initiative of Tamale Metro Football Association in honor of the illustrious son of the North, Wakaso Mubarak has kick started across designation centers within the Tamale  Metropolis.


This follows the gracing of the occasion  by the  Northern Regional Football Association Chairman, Alhaj Abu Hassan Rhyzos in an opening ceremony match involving Great Heroes and Great Eagles at the Kulikuli School in Tamale on Wednesday afternoon, 19th May 2021, to usher in the competition.

Addressing the media, Alhaj Abu Hassan Rhyzos lauded Wakaso Mubarak for his efforts to promote and unearth budding talents in the North by investing capital into the challenge cup through Tamale Metro Football Association.


However, the astute Football administrator has urged team Managers, coaches, players and football fans to eschew violence during match days given the investment and sacrifice made by the Black Stars midfielder to the competition, warning that fans should desist from acts that will mar the beauty of the competition.


The first edition of Wakaso Challenge Cup is solely sponsored by the Chinese based footballer under direct supervision of Tamale Metro Football Association with the aim of unearthing talent among young lads within the ages of 15 in Tamale.
