'That is hypocrisy': Bawumia jabs NDC for walking "in memory of Papa J
The Vice President Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has chastised the leadership and members of the opposition NDC, for organizing peace walks in memory of the late former president Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings.
He indicated that the party has no moral right to walk in honor of the late president after his death since they disrespected him to the highest level by calling him all sort of names.
He therefore described their action as an act of hypocrisy since the current NDC does not stand for the legacies of the former president which stressed much on probity and accountability.
He made these assertions during his interactions with the students and staff of Yendi Senior High School (SHS) before he commissioned a twelve unit two stories classroom and a dormitory block.
He reminded Ghanaians of the NPP government's intention to make education accessible to all children in the country hence the free SHS.
He indicated that the provision of infrastructure in the schools will help end the double track system which is as a result of inadequate infrastructure.
The vice president paid a courtesy call on the king and overlord of Dagbon who appealed for a bus for the Dagbon states senior high technical school and vehicles for the security in the municipality to aid their operations.
