Wulensi - two feuding factions in NPP unite for 2020 victory
The ruling New Patriotic Party in the Wulensi constituency has resolved their differences to unite for victory in the upcoming parliamentary elections on December 7.
This became necessary when the two feuding factions in the June 20 NPP parliamentary primaries came together on Saturday October 10 to pledge unity for victory.
The loser in the just ended primaries, Alhaji Abdulai Haroun indicted that his love for the party is more than his own personal interest and therefore wouldn’t sit to see the NPP lose the seat in the constituency.
He called on his supporters to rally behind the incumbent MP and winner of the primaries Hon. Thomas Donkoh Ugaja for victory 2020.
To affirm his support for the MP, Alhaji Haroun donated fifteen motorbikes, hundred plastic chairs and a cash amount of ten thousand Ghana cedis to the party.
He mentioned that he was ready to do everything within his means to ensure victory for the president and the MP in the constituency.
His supporters assured the party of their readiness to work harder for victory since the only party they have is the NPP.
The MP and the parliamentary candidate for the Wulensi constituency, Hon. Thomas Donkoh Ugaja expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his contender and promised of ensuring the party gets him something in its next government.
The northern regional minister, Hon Salifu Saeed, former northern regional minister, Hon. Prince Imoro Andani and the party's National first vice chairperson, Madam Rita Talaata Asobayire were there to witness the occasion and could not hide their excitements about the move by the two bigwigs of the party in the constituency to unite for victory.
